Aims: This session will enable the participate to:
• describe recent concepts in understanding the development of lung fibrosis and tissue remodelling;
• identify critical molecular and biological pathways in pulmonary fibrogenesis;
• explain the role of DNA microarray technology in studying patients with ILD;
• evaluate novel strategies for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.
