PG13 - Paediatrics - asthma in children
Postgraduate CourseChairs: J. Y. Paton (Glasgow, United Kingdom), Z. Zivkovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia)
Aims: This is the first course in a three-year postgraduate core curriculum covering the main issues in paediatric respiratory medicine. The aims of this first module in the series are:
• to provide a contemporary overview of the natural history, diagnosis and management of asthma in children;
• to provide trainees with advanced education about a key topic in the paediatric respiratory training syllabus;
• to provide those currently involved in treating children with asthma an opportunity to update their knowledge.
By the end of the course, attendees should have a sound understanding of the scientific basis of our approach to managing asthma in children.
