Aims: This course is designed to give an update on the role of genetics in the development of a variety of lung diseases. The specific aims of the course are:
• to provide an overview of recent developments in molecular pathology and genetics in asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer;
• to discuss methodological aspects in this field of pulmonary research.
