Aims: The aims of this symposium will be:
• to improve the awareness of the occurrence of obstructive sleep apnoea in women;
• to improve the knowledge on risk factors for obstructive sleep apnoea in women;
• to critically evaluate the gender differences in the pathogenesis of obstructive sleep apnoea;
• to evaluate the impact of gender on treatment outcome.
