Meet the expertChairs: Aims: The aims of the session are to:
• Describe the literature on paediatric long-term ventilation in Europe, including the National Surveys;
• Discuss the efficacy of different kinds of long-term ventilation in children (i.e., CPAP, NIPPV, and tracheostomy ventilation);
• Present the available data for different diseases or group of diseases;
• Discuss different models of assistance for families and care givers; and
• Discuss the need for European guidelines on paediatric long-term ventilation.
