Aims: : It is now evident that asthma is not a single disease but rather a syndrome of overlapping phenotypes that involve several different mechanisms.
The aims of the session are to:
• Provide evidence for the segregation of patients into distinct phenotypes;
• Highlight some of the key asthma phenotypes; and
• Indicate the treatment options that are available for patients with the distinct phenotypes.
