Current controversies in sleep-disordered breathing (SDB)

Aims: The aims of this symposium are to:
- Present a state-of-the-art update on the controversies in SDB;
- Present the current knowledge on how sleep apnoea and central apnoea impact or are impacted by cancer, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and heart failure;
- Increase knowledge and understanding of the management of sleep apnoea in comorbid conditions; and,
- Highlight deficiencies in our knowledge of the interaction of SDB with comorbidities, with the aim of stimulating enquiry and research in this area.
