The ERJ and ERR at the forefront of respiratory medicine: 2014 guidelines

Aims: The aims of the session are threefold:
- to impart clinical messages concerning the three important respiratory diseases, namely severe asthma, pulmonary embolism and lung cancer;
- to provide insight into the ERS procedures and methodology that are used to develop guidelines and consensus statements; and
- to provide insight into the role and function of the editorial board of the ERJ in this crucial domain.
The audience will be updated on major recent Task Forces/guidelines in the fast growing fields of severe asthma, pulmonary embolism and lung cancer.
