Aims: The aims of the course are to:
• Understand the ways TB in children differs from TB in adults in terms of presentation and treatment;
• Review the advantages and disadvantages of the new diagnostic techniques for TB and LTBI;
• Update participants on the evidence base of the current treatment strategies for TB in both children and adults;
• Review the approaches to multi-resistant TB; and
• Describe the main activities that should be performed for implementating interventions to prevent and manage TB.
