Aims: The aim of the course is to provide participants with an overview of the following:
1. The physiological constraints on the exercise tolerance of patients with respiratory disease;
2. The application of exercise testing in clinical practice, and the different formats of exercise tests and their advantages, disadvantages and different prognostic values;
3. The usefulness of exercise testing for evaluating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions in clinical practice.
