Aims: This symposium will:
• provide the audience with a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the field of cellular and physiological events associated with resolution of inflammatory responses;
• present the therapeutic potential associated with discovery of novel cell clearance mechanisms and endogenous pro-resolving agents;
• highlight the strengths and weaknesses with current therapies in facilitating resolution of established inflammation. Target audience: Clinicians and basic scientists with interest in airway/tissue inflammation and its resolution.
