Contemporary management of patients with end-stage emphysema

Aims: Patients with end-stage obstructive lung disease can be offered several instrumental therapeutic options. The aims of this symposium are:
•to expose the new modalities such as exercise training, lung volume reduction surgery, intrabronchial stenting and transplantation;
•to clarify the respective indications;
•to describe the results which may be expected. Target audience: Pulmonologists involved with patients with end-stage COPD, surgeons, interventional bronchoscopists.
