PG2 Thoracic ultrasound

Postgraduate Course
Chairs: S. Mongodi (Pavia, Italy), P. Bonta (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
Aims: to provide a solid theoretical framework for physicians who want to develop their ultrasonography skills; to encourage evidence-based practice where possible; to highlight the utility of thoracic ultrasonography for purposes other than identification of pleural fluid, including assessment of other thoracic structures; to demonstrate that physicians can safely perform thoracic interventions (including image-guided pleural biopsies) after suitable training; and to provide a solid background for the thoracic ultrasonography educational skills workshop.
