Aims: The aims of this lunchtime is to better understand the "right" timing and modes of communication of bad news for acute and chronic respiratory patients; to discuss the possible strategies to relief the "pain of the respiratory system" also called dyspnoea; to deal with the dramatic problem of end of life issues in children; and to understand who should be involved in all the end of life discussion (paternalism versus a shared decision).
Target audience: Pulmonologists, nurses, palliative care specialists, respiratory therapists, paediatricians, and intensive care medicine doctors.
