Cystic fibrosis: no longer just kids‘ stuff

Symposium
Chairs: S. Sawyer (Melbourne, Australia), H. Tiddens (Rotterdam, The Netherlands)
Aims: Participants will learn when to suspect a late diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, and how to establish the diagnosis. The strengths and weaknesses of different models of transition between paediatric and adult services will be demonstrated. The newer pulmonary and extrapulmonary complications of cystic fibrosis will be discussed, with an emphasis on prevention as well as management.
