Vascular and interstitial remodelling in chronic lung disease: therapeutic interventions on the horizon

Oral Presentation
Chairs: C. Kaehler (Innsbruck, Austria), O. Eickelberg (Giessen, Germany)
Aims: In this session Dr. Lee Borthwick will give a lecture on "The role of epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in airway remodelling after human lung transplantation" and Dr. Paul Mercer will give a lecture on "A role for PAR1 in lipopolysaccharide induced acute lung injury". Both Dr. Borthwick and Dr. Mercer are winners of Best Oral Presentation Awards, as selected at the ERS 2008 Lung Science Conference.
