An ERS clinical research collaboration to advance research in alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency

Clinical Research Collaboration
Aims: to identify the main research projects under development by the European alpha-1 antitrypsin research collaboration (EARCO). EARCO was founded in 2018 with the objective of developing an international prospective registry of patients with AATD. The registry includes more than 1000 patients and has produced several manuscripts presenting the results of the research projects, such as the survey on unmet needs for research in AATD, the survey on criteria for augmentation therapy and the study on the impact of COVID-19 in patients with AATD. One of the objectives of the presentation is to attract new participants to the EARCO consortium.
