New ATS/ERS recommendations for bronchial challenge testing

Aims: Bronchial challenge tests are one of the main diagnostic tests for asthma. There is however a lack of standardisation in this field (e.g. which nebuliser/protocols to use when performing a metacholinechallenge test). Meanwhile new developments (like Mannitol) are already used in clinical practice but are not included in the existing guidelines. This task force will present up-to-date guideline in the field of direct and indirect bronchial challenge testing.
