Aims: The aims of this sessions are to: discuss a new definition of severe asthma; review the phenotypic findings and pathobiology of severe asthma; evaluate the recent treatments for severe asthma using the GRADE approach; examine how severe asthma in children could be different from adults; and discuss the way forward over the next 10 years.
