Aims: This course will provide participants an overview of: the physiological constraints of exercise tolerance in the respiratory patient; the application of exercise testing in clinical practice and the different formats of exercise tests; their advantages and disadvantages, and their different prognostic values and finally the usefulness of exercise testing for the evaluation of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions in clinical practice.
