Aims: Present three key areas for future developments of respiratory medicine in the next decade. The three talks will be preceded by a short historical summary of the evolution of the Society during the last 20 years (Prof. Nikos Siafakas) and the session will be finished by a short talk on how these emerging areas will be implemented in respiratory medicine (Prof. Marc Decramer).
