Airway sensation: the emerging role of the transient receptor potential (TRP) channels

Hot topics
Chairs: L. McGarvey (Belfast, Ireland), R. Patacchini (Parma, Italy)
Aims: This symposium will bring together the world authority and discoverer of many of the TRP channels with those who have applied knowledge of TRP function to the in vivo and clinical pharmacology of the respiratory tract. The audience will not only have an enhanced understanding of the mechanisms of airway sensation, but be able to apply that knowledge to understand the basis of respiratory symptoms.
Keynote lecture: Neuronal sensing in the airways: the role of TRP channels
