Travel for respiratory patients: ELF 10-year jubilee

Symposium
Chairs: M. Fletcher (Warwick, United Kingdom), K-H. Carlsen (Oslo, Norway)
Aims: Physicians will be informed on all aspects of air travel for respiratory patients, in particular when oxygen therapy is required. At the end of the symposium, participants should be able to advise patients correctly, inform them about the latest developments and the facilities offered by airlines, and guide them to trusted websites for information.
The benefits of using the ELF Air travel database will be demonstrated from the point of view of the patient, GP, physician, air travel authorities/companies and politicians.
As a Year of the Lung activity, Congress delegates will be invited to attend to learn how ELF can help patient organisations. ERS leaders will attend to discuss future collaborations, what ELF has to offer and future goals. Patient organisation representatives will have free access to all presentations during the Congress and presidents of patient organisations may be involved in sessions as Co-Chairs.
