Respiratory disease in minority groups

Chairs: Bo Lundback (Gothenburg, Sweden), Giovanni Viegi (Pisa, Italy)
Aims: To describe the differences between ethnic minority groups in terms of respiratory disease prevalence, provide plausible genetic and environmental explanations for such prevalence differences, describe the current challenges faced by Europe in terms of providing healthcare to ethnic minority groups and review the academic argument about how we should assess 'normal' lung function in ethnic minority groups.
Target audience: Clinicians, healthcare professionals, and epidemiologists.
