EW3 Inhaler techniques - train the trainer

Aims: To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to demonstrate the use of inhalation devices and to coach and teach patients effectively. To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to demonstrate the use of inhalation devices and to coach and teach patients effectively.
Workstation 1: Overview of the different types of models and how they function.

Workstation 2: This workstation will provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to guide and train a patient to successfully use an inhaler.

Workstation 3: An overview on how inhalers perform in real life scenarios will be given. The preferences and views of patients regarding which inhalers are most practical to use will be discussed.

Workstation 4: This workstation will teach participants how to successfully administer medication and how to avoid common mistakes.

Target audience: Nurses, technologists, clinicians, fellows, physiologists and pharmacists.
