Noninvasive ventilation (NIV) in COPD

Aims: To provide an overview of current evidence about different aspects of long-term NIV applied to hypercapnic COPD patients: which are the goals of ventilation? How to “personalise” the therapy and how to make a good patient selection? To discuss the results of the recent task force on long-term NIV in COPD.
