Abstract
Airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) is a hallmark of asthma, but may also exist in children and adults with other lung disorders. It reflects an abnormal response with airway narrowing following exposure to a wide variety of non-sensitising stimuli of chemical or physical origin.
