The ERS Handbook of Respiratory Medicine was first published during the ERS Barcelona Congress 2010 with great success. This was the first medical textbook to be launched by ERS. The content has followed the HERMES syllabus and HERMES curriculum and provides a compact guide on each of the key areas in respiratory medicine. Each section featured in the ERS Handbook has been assembled by senior specialists across Europe and beyond to create a state-of-the-art textbook.

The ERS Handbook of Respiratory Sleep Medicine will be officially launched during the ERS Congress in Vienna. The content of this newest handbook will closely follow the syllabus developed by the respiratory Sleep HERMES task force based on 9 syllabus modules. The handbook will closely follow the structure developed to help those working in the field recognise symptoms, reach a diagnosis and deliver practical treatment recommendations.

The ERS Handbook: Self Assessment in Respiratory Medicine will also be launched during the Vienna congress.
