Inflammatory phenotypes of asthma and COPD: the end of traditional diagnosis, or not?

Symposium
Chairs: R. Djukanovic (Southampton, United Kingdom), E. Bel (Leiden, The Netherlands)
The aim of this symposium is to discuss the question whether it still makes sense to stick to traditional diagnoses, or whether careful (sub)phenotyping is of greater relevance with regard to the monitoring, management and prognosis of airway diseases.
