Educational aims
  • To understand the underlying pathophysiology of problems associated with neuromuscular disease
  • How to recognise and identify these problems
  • Explore the consequences of the problems and the potential risks of medical care in general for these patients
  • To discuss the available therapeutic options (oxygen therapy, CPAP, HMV, air stacking, MI-E, compression techniques, IPV) with respect to indications, contra-indications, effectiveness, setup, monitoring, devices and organization from both a scientific and practical point of view.
