The aim of this web-based course is to update the participants on influenza by addressing the following topics:
  • epidemiology of annual influenza
  • economic burden at societal level
  • differential diagnosis of influenza in relation to other infections of the respiratory tract
  • clinical diagnosis vs laboratory-confirmed diagnosis
  • vaccine safety, efficacy and effectiveness
  • pandemic influenza
