Objectives of the module:

After the completion of this module, the participant will be able to:

1- Recognize differential diagnoses in children presenting with severe asthma.

2- Identify comorbidities, check adherence to treatment and investigate external causes that could contribute to the state of severity and thus differentiate between severe therapy-resistant asthma and difficult-to-treat asthma

3- Sort out the methods of assessment of asthma severity

4- Discuss possible alternative strategies for treatment “beyond guidelines”.
